You Asked for It, so You're Getting It

After 5 years of marriage, tons of pressuring and a few uninhibited nights, Austin and I are expecting our first baby :) Since most of you know as we announced it last weekend to the family and this weekend to the church, I can now put the full story online. You see, when a man and a woman love each other...... I guess you don't need those details.

On Aug 10th, I got very ill to my stomach. For the next ten days it was a grueling process of trying not to throw up, and not wanting to eat anything. I lost about 5 pounds and was very excited about that. On August 20th at 5:15am I woke up (to pee) and decided I would take a pregnancy test to prove to everyone I'm not pregnant and then head to Walgreens for some very powerful drugs to help my constant nausea. At 5:30am, for the first time ever, the EPT stick showed two blue lines instead of just one! I thought I was seeing things, so I grabbed the box to make sure I was correct and then turned the bathroom lights on. At the sight of the lights coming on, Austin woke up and asked what was ging on. Leaning against the doorframe, shaking slightly, I told him amidst tears and laughter that we were pregnant. He hopped out of bed and asked "Are you sure?"

Once I had him convinced, he started crying as well and we got back in bed and just stared at the ceiling. We talked and cuddled for about and hour and then decided to go to breakfast, so we headed to Mimis.

I have been very sick for several weeks, and want to apologize for parties, gatherings, emails, and other interactions we have missed over the last 2 months. As of today I am feeling better, and haven't wanted to throw up - yet.

One by one, we told our parents and other family members. With lots of shock and excitement, everyone is now in the loop! As of this morning, it was announced to our church as well. We have tons of support from all over the area, and are very blessed with family, friends, prayers, money, advice, food and gifts. Thanks to ALL!!!!

Here are the answers to all of the main questions we keep getting:
-We are due April 9th, 2011
-I am 15 weeks along
-We WILL find out the sex of the baby, but not until early December
-We do have names picked out, although they may change in the next 6 months. SaraBeth and Thomas Josiah
-There will be an Abilene baby shower (for ACU friends, and family, and whoever else) on Saturday, Feb 5th, 2011 (then a superbowl party on Sun)
-The church baby shower will probably be later that month as well
-Our next sonogram is tomorrow, so be on the lookout for an updated pic

I think that covers everything. I will try to keep main stages up to date for you. If you have any questions, or just want to check in, feel free to call/text/email/fb either of us at any time. We are overjoyed, and know that those of you who have been waiting (and some who have been praying) for us to get pregnant may actually be more excited than we are.

Love to all,
Austin and Tiffany
