For the Ladies

So this is a little personal, but since I was curious last week, I thought others might be as well.

Ok, reaching my ankles has become a challenge, and it will only get worse over the next few weeks. So I have started to consider alternate options for shaving my legs.

1) Waxing: Before my Hawaii trip 2 years ago, I had my legs waxed - horrible idea!!! Hurt like I can't explain, and didn't work! There were patches missed, hair still on knees, and what was removed, came back in less than a week. This will never be done again.

2) Plucking: Yes, this sounds, and is, tedious. But I know of people who plucked their entire legs in their younger years, and now only have to grab a renegade hair every few weeks. They literrally have no hair growing on their legs. I tried this method once in college. I had shaved, and as usual missed several on my knees. So I grabbed some tweezers and decided to go to town. How bad can it be? I tweeze my eyebrows, and that has never hurt. THIS HURT! I tried two hairs, and nearly broke into tears. This method will also not be tried again.

3) Nair: This brings me up to tonight where our story really begins. I bought "shower nair" to try out. Followed the directions as recommended, didn't get it in my eyes, and it seems to have worked. Other than the fact it was kinda cold going on, no pain!! (I'm a huge fan of that) Tonight we shall see if I have any adverse effects, but for right now, my legs are silky smooth with no pain and little bending. Certainly no balancing with a razor in my hand! If I do have a reaction I will update, but for now, I just wanted you gals to know my experiences with this required, American hygiene policy.

If there are other methods out there, I am still open to possibilities. Or just post your experiences with these ways to remove a protective layer on our legs that God put there on purpose.
